Terms of Use

1. Introduction

By using Household Expense Tracker, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

Household Expense Tracker is provided to help users record, organize, and review personal and shared household expense information.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and sign-in methods, including email and password authentication or Google Sign-In. You are also responsible for the accuracy of information you enter into the app.

You agree to provide lawful and accurate information and to use the app only in a way that complies with applicable laws and these terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
• Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to compromise the app or related services.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or shared household spaces without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app where prohibited by law or platform terms.
• Misuse shared household features, including by adding false records or interfering with other members' use of a household space.

4. Shared Household Data

Household Expense Tracker may allow users to participate in shared household budgeting spaces. Financial records, expense entries, balances, and related household information may be visible to other household members according to the app's functionality and permissions.

If your account is deleted, some shared historical records may remain in anonymized form to preserve household financial history, totals, balances, and calculations. Retained shared records are no longer linked to the deleted user account.

5. Data and Service Availability

The app is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate.

You should keep your own copies of important financial records or other information if you need them for personal, tax, accounting, legal, or other purposes.

6. Subscriptions and Advertising

Household Expense Tracker is subscription-first. There is no free trial.

Premium users are ad-free. Eligible non-premium users may see ads. Ads are limited to banner placements on the Home and Expenses screens.

Ad eligibility is controlled centrally and ad rollout or availability may be managed using Firebase Remote Config. Where applicable, consent requirements are resolved before ad requests for eligible users.

7. Financial Disclaimer

Household Expense Tracker is a budgeting and expense tracking tool. It is not a bank, lender, marketplace, payment provider, financial institution, or regulated financial advisory service.

The app does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You are responsible for decisions you make based on information you enter into or view in the app.

8. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using Household Expense Tracker at any time. You may delete your account according to the account deletion process described on the Account Deletion page.

Subscription billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by the applicable app store platform. Deleting your Household Expense Tracker account does not automatically cancel or end subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Subscriptions must be canceled separately through the platform where they were purchased.

Nagy Tech Studio may suspend or terminate access to the app if needed to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or violations of these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nagy Tech Studio is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. These terms do not affect rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When updates are made, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the app after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
