Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Household Expense Tracker, provided by Nagy Tech Studio, collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Household Expense Tracker mobile application.
1. App and Developer Identity
Household Expense Tracker is an expense tracking application provided by Nagy Tech Studio. The app helps users track personal and shared household finance information. For privacy questions, contact us at nagykrisztian.endre@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
Household Expense Tracker collects information needed to create accounts and provide the app's finance tracking features, including:
- Account-related information, such as email address, user ID, display name, and profile details.
- Authentication information handled through Firebase Authentication.
- Finance data entered by users, such as household records, transactions, expense details, categories, amounts, dates, notes, and related app data.
- Shared household data that may involve multiple members of the same household.
- Subscription status and entitlement data used to determine premium or non-premium access.
- Ad eligibility and consent status where applicable for eligible non-premium users.
- Basic technical data necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the app.
3. Authentication Methods
Household Expense Tracker uses Firebase Authentication to support account creation and sign-in. Supported sign-in methods include email and password authentication and Google Sign-In / OAuth. When you use Google Sign-In, Google may provide authentication information needed to sign you in, such as your email address and basic profile information, according to your Google account settings and consent.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts.
- Provide expense tracking and shared household finance features.
- Store and synchronize user-entered finance data across authorized devices.
- Maintain household financial history and calculations for shared households.
- Determine premium/non-premium access and apply ad-free access for premium users.
- For eligible non-premium users, request and display banner ads only on the Home and Expenses screens.
- Resolve ad consent status before ad requests where applicable.
- Control ad rollout and availability using Firebase Remote Config.
- Use analytics and diagnostics data to support ad delivery, reliability, and performance monitoring.
- Protect the app, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- Respond to privacy, support, and account deletion requests.
5. Data Storage and Security
Household Expense Tracker uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to store and manage app data. Data is encrypted in transit using secure network connections. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell user data. Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, including Firebase services provided by Google. Shared household finance data may be visible to other authorized members of the same household as part of the app's intended functionality. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the app, or others.
For ad-supported non-premium access where applicable, limited ad-related and technical information may be processed by ad and measurement service providers to support banner ad delivery on eligible screens and to monitor ad reliability and performance.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal account data for as long as needed to provide Household Expense Tracker, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support security and backup processes. When a user deletes their account, personal account data is deleted or scheduled for deletion, subject to limited backup retention.
Shared household transaction history may be retained in anonymized form after an account deletion to preserve the integrity of shared household financial history and calculations. Retained shared records are no longer linked to the deleted user. Backup copies may remain for up to 30 days before permanent removal.
Account deletion affects your Household Expense Tracker app account and associated personal account data as described in this policy. It does not automatically cancel any subscription purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
8. User Rights
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal account data, subject to applicable law and technical limitations. To make a privacy request, contact nagykrisztian.endre@gmail.com.
If you have an active subscription, you must manage or cancel it separately through the platform where it was purchased, such as your Google Play or the Apple App Store subscription settings.
9. Account Deletion
Users can delete their account from inside the Household Expense Tracker app. Account deletion removes authentication account data, user profile/account data, and personal data directly associated with the user account. Shared household transaction records may be retained in anonymized form to preserve shared household financial history.
When you delete your account, we delete your app account and associated personal data in accordance with our account deletion policy. However, deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Those subscriptions are managed by the relevant platform and must be canceled separately through your store account settings.
