Account deletion request information

Delete Your Household Expense Tracker Account

Users can delete their Household Expense Tracker account from inside the app. This page explains what is deleted, what may be retained, and how retained shared household records are handled.

Subscription notice: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any subscription purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Subscriptions must be canceled separately through the platform where they were purchased.

How to Delete Your Account

To delete your account, open Household Expense Tracker and use the in-app account deletion option from the account or settings area. You may be asked to confirm your request or re-authenticate before deletion is completed.

If you cannot access the app or need help with account deletion, contact Nagy Tech Studio at nagykrisztian.endre@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, if possible.

Data That Is Deleted

When your Household Expense Tracker account is deleted, the following data is deleted or scheduled for deletion:

  • Authentication account data, including the Firebase Authentication account associated with your Household Expense Tracker account.
  • User profile and account data.
  • Personal data directly associated with your user account.
  • Direct identifiers that connect your personal account to app data, except where temporary retention is required for backup, security, or legal reasons.

Deleting your app account does not automatically cancel any active subscription. Active subscriptions must be canceled separately through Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Data That May Be Retained

Household Expense Tracker supports shared household finance tracking. To preserve the accuracy and integrity of shared household financial history and calculations for the remaining household members, shared household transaction records may be retained after your account is deleted.

Retention of shared household transaction records is limited to preserving the household's financial history. Deleting your account does not mean that all shared household expenses or shared household transaction records are removed from the household history.

Subscription billing is handled separately by the store platform. You may wish to cancel your subscription before or after deleting your account to avoid future renewal charges, depending on platform billing rules.

How Retained Shared Records Are Anonymized

When shared household transaction records are retained after account deletion, identifiers such as your user ID and display name are removed or replaced. Retained shared records are no longer linked to the deleted user account.

This means the remaining household can keep accurate transaction totals, balances, and history, while the retained shared records no longer identify you as the deleted account holder.

Backup Retention

Backup copies of deleted personal account data may remain for up to 30 days before permanent removal. During this period, backup data is retained only for backup, recovery, security, and operational integrity purposes.
